Salonistas’ sound has been described as “velvety alt-country soul” which they reckon pretty well nails it. They play tunes they love reinterpreted with their own unique twist, spanning genres including country, Americana, rockabilly, blues and soul. Think Lucinda Williams, Eilen Jewell and Tom Waits on a good day. They have a penchant for songs about love, grog and Jesus. With occasional coarse language.

Miss Jolene and her sidekick The Jinx are on the run from somewhere, someone - or something. As part of their cover, they perform in bars & honky-tonks - usually as a duo but sometimes joined by other nefarious musicians whose identities can’t be revealed for legal reasons.
